DFA Records, who sign LCD Soundsystem, have denied rumours that the band will reunite in 2016, following the group’s split in 2011. Both Billboard and Consequence Of Sound had both cited strong sources confirming the reunion. However, speaking to Pitchfork, DFA co-founder Jonathan Galkin stated that the rumours were unfounded, before providing a quote promoting DFA’s other artists. LCD Soundsystem played a farewell concert in their hometown of New York City, which was filmed and released as a live concert, Shut Up And Play The Hits.

LCD Soundsystem head-honcho James Murphy has been keeping himself extremely busy since the split in 2011; between opening a wine bar in New York, launching a brand of coffee, and collaborating with numerous artists – including his absolutely massive remix of Bowie’s “Love Is Lost” which you can listen to below.
