Brisbane three-piece, LEØ, release the first single, “Us”, off their upcoming debut EP, Young, due for release in January this coming year. “Us” is available now on iTunes.
“Us” has an industrial vibe, like the clanging of pipes or being in a pumping boiler room. The vocals, on the other hand, are almost angelic. Her voice also seems to be backed with a male vocal, too.
Then a clapping beat comes in, making it extra moody. Muted picks of the guitar lend it extra drama, before everything is stripped back for emphasis upon those angelic vocals. It has an understated grave feel to it, a touch of tragedy.
