Preppy US label Lilly Pulitzer’s collaboration with superstore chain Target sold out in hours yesterday, both in stores and online in what fans of the brand are calling “Pink Sunday“. The label, known for its preppy, southern style is popular among women across the US and the partnership between the two retail giants created frenzy across the fashion world, because of the affordable prices, ranging from $2-150 and the availability of plus size items. The collection went live on the Target website on April 19, but within two hours, had sold out. Items including clothing, homeware and beauty items have already been spotted on eBay exceeding retail prices.
