Lupita Nyong’o Cast As Love Interest In Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ | Film News
The character’s debut in Captain America: Civil War made him one of the firm fixtures of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now Lupita Nyong’o has been cast as the main love interest for the standalone film Black Panther alongside Chadwick Boseman – who is set to reprise his role as the warrior king of Wakanda.
The film is set to be directed by Creed director Ryan Coogler, with the casting of Nyong’o, the cherry on the cake for the actress’ incredible career recently, with her turn as orange skinned alien Maz Kanata in the recent Star Wars movie and the wolf Raksha in Disney’s remake of The Jungle Book.
