Indian-American designer Naeem Khan is leading a charge to revive Miami’s fashion industry by locating the company’s future 70,000 square foot headquarters along the Miami River. Counting Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton as customers, Khan commented, “as a designer, I travel the world, and I definitely felt an energy that attracted me to Miami. I felt it could be a future big city, like a mega city“.

Miami is quickly becoming a big hitter in the luxury market. Since 2015, the Design District has attracted fashion brands including Hermès, Dior (its biggest store in the US), Lanvin, Celine and Givenchy. This year, Miami will also welcome flagships stores for Isabel Marant, Saint Laurent and Rag & Bone.
