Mark Hamill To Play The Trickster In ‘The Flash’ | TV News

Haven’t seen the new TV series of The Flash from the television guys at Warner Bros? Well, he’s a huge reason why you need to catch up! The one and only Mark Hamill will be reprising his role as James Jesse aka The Trickster. Hamill had previously played the part back in the 90’s live action show on CBS and now is set to cause trouble again when he’ll pop up in the 17th episode of the current season.

Here’s what HitFix had to say on the awesome news; “Mark Hamill returns in a brand new interpretation of James Jesse (aka The Trickster), a role he originated on the 90′s ‘Flash’ series.  In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist  con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps. The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original ‘Flash’ on the CBS version”.

The Flash producer Andrew Kreisberg, and it seems Christmas has come early for Kreisberg! As is well known, this isn’t Hamill’s first time dipping his toes in the world of DC Superheroes as he voiced the vindictive The Joker in both the animated series and game play of Batman. We’ve got faith in Hamill that he’ll approach this familiar character with adventure, hilarity and mischief!
