Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ Begins Production | Film News
Marvel have announced the start of production of the next Phase 3 film Doctor Strange. The film will follow neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) who discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. This is further expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is perhaps taking on a new sub-genre with director Scott Derrickson’s horror credentials.
Producer Kevin Feige has gathered a superb cast for this new venture including Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen and Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton. Photos of Cumberbatch thought to be on set in Nepal did surface earlier this month but this is the first official Marvel announcement regarding production. Let’s hope Marvel continue their current great run of form into phase 3.
