“The Ballad Of Laura And Mike” is the new single from Matt pond PA, the song featuring Laura Stevenson is part of Matt’s upcoming album titled Still Summer out on August 11 on 131 Records.
Speaking about the song, the band said, “Out beyond the walls of my mind, this is the true story of a couple separated by thousands of miles, from a backstage in California to the backyard in upstate New York—synchronized spinners, serenading each other from far, far away. Hitting send on a text, waiting for the phone to light up with a response. Watching the earth turn—the planes above and the rabbits below—and knowing there’s another half of a whole thinking, believing, knowing it’s all real”.
Matt pond PA have also launched a contest for fans to create the official video for “The Ballad Of Laura and Mike”, people can make a short film to accompany the song and try and be featured in the official music video.
