Matthew Vaughn Confirms ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ Sequel | Film News

In an interview with Yahoo! Movies, Kingsman: The Secret Service director Matthew Vaughn revealed he is working on a sequel to the hit spy comedy, but didn’t confirm whether he’d be directing. When asked about writing the sequel, Vaughn said: “The good news is I’m writing it next door at the moment and if I think we can get the script good enough we’ll make it”.

Vaughn hinted that we may see an American equivalent of The Kingsman in the sequel. Kingsman: The Secret Service earned a worldwide total earnings of $403.6 million and told the story of Eggsy (Taron Egerton), a young man who’s brought into the world of super spies by Harry Hart (Colin Firth) to stop the evil business man Richmond Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) from wreaking havoc.
