Metronomy + Robyn – Hang Me Out to Dry | New Music

After the slightly disappointing Love Letters, British electronic band Metronomy are back on track with a new release, Summer 08, due on July 1 via Because Music.

On June 27, Zane Lowe premiered the follow-up to the retro tune “Old Skool” on Beats 1. The song, titled “Hang Me Out to Dry”, is a slow jam that explodes with a euphoric, almost-rapped chorus by Swedish electro-pop diva Robyn. The song dates back to 2011 when an early draft was recorded for the band’s third album, The English Riviera, but didn’t come together until last year.

Robyn and Metronomy’s Joseph Mount previously collaborated under pseudonyms for the feature film Partisan, and this new single further proves what an amazing team they are.
