Michael C. Hall Joins Netflix Thriller ‘In The Shadow Of The Moon’ | Film News

Fresh off starring in the Netflix Original series Safe, Michael C. Hall is teaming up with the streaming giant once again. Collider reports he has signed on to star in the genre-bending thriller In The Shadow Of The Moon.

He will star alongside fellow Netflix alum – Narcos star Boyd Holbrook – with the duo playing two detectives who becomes obsessed with a series of murders that seem beyond explanation, with Holbrook’s character falling deeper down the rabbit hole and Hall playing his partner, who also happens to be his half-brother.

The film also reunites Hall with director Jim Mickle, who directed Hall in the 2014 thriller Cold In July. He’ll be working from a script penned by Gregory Weidman and Geoff Tock, who both worked extensively on the Limitless TV adaptation.

After his star-making turns in Showtime’s Dexter and HBO’s Six Feet Under, Hall has recently migrated to Netflix for multiple roles. Starring in the aforementioned Safe while also playing President Kennedy in The Crown, this will be his third project with the streaming giant within the last year.

Throughout his career he’s mostly been a TV guy, so it’s good to see him getting more roles in films. Netflix will reportedly look to begin filming on In The Shadow Of The Moon before the year is out.
