At the Hyundai Mercury Awards, Dexter star, Michael C. Hall, provided vocals for a live performance of David Bowie’s “Lazarus”, from his nominated album, Blackstar. David Bowie wrote the songs for a musical, in which Hall starred in New York, and is set to play the London show, too.

This year’s Mercury Prize was won by Skepta for his effort Konnichiwa, up against Bowie’s Blackstar, Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool and Anohni’s Hopelessness amongst others. In his acceptance speech, Skepta declared “Rest in peace David Bowie“.
