Michael Fassbender Already Set To Return For ‘Assassin’s Creed 2’ | Film News
Though the first film adapted from the popular video game series is still in production, it seems like the studio responsible is confident enough for a sequel.
According to a report made by The Tracking Board, production company New Regency has made official plans for a sequel to Assassins’s Creed with Michael Fassbender. The film will be co-produced by the actor, alongside Conor McCaughan through DMC films. Matt Phelps will oversee the project under Ubisoft, while Pam Abdy for New Regency.
For those unfamiliar, the original Assassin’s Creed focuses on the underground war between two factions throughout the centuries. Players were able to play as a character during prominent time periods, being able to see a very different interpretation to events that altered history. Though the film will not feature the characters from the original game, it will reportedly follow a very similar narrative structure.
