Michael Fassbender Among The Nominees For British Independent Film Awards | Film News

Irish actor Michael Fassbender is among fellow actors such as Brendan Gleesson, Keira Knightley and Andrew Scott nominated this week for this year’s British Independent Film Awards. Fassbender has been nominated for his lead role in Lenny Abrahamson’s comedy/drama Frank, and is quite simply one of Britain’s rising acting talents, and usually the stand out actor in most of the films he is in. Some of his most memorable roles include, his character Brandon who struggles with sex addiction in the film Shame, oh and how can we forget Carry Mulligan’s rendition of the Frank Sinatra’s classic “New York New York”, from the film as she plays Brandon’s sister Sissy. Just had to give that a mention, so moving! The announcement for the British Independent Film Awards nominees was made on Monday (November 3), and winners will be announced on December 7, 2014.
