Michael Fassbender has landed another big role in the already hotly anticipated film adaptation of the smash hit video game Assassin’s Creed. However his latest confession might shock you as he admits to have never played the game prior to being approached to play the lead role of Callum Lynch .
“I hadn’t played it before these guys approached me” Fassbender told ET. “I’ve played it since, mainly to get an idea of the physicality of the character…We’re working hard to make this something special”. Supporting acts include Academy Award winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons. Michael K Williams and Brendan Gleeson also star in the December 21, 2016 release.
Synopsis is as you would expect: Lynch accesses revolutionary technology which unlocks genetic memories and is able to experience adventures of his ancestors in 15th century Spain. Not forgetting to mention the mysterious society he is affiliated with, the Assassins vs the Knights Templar.
We will be keeping close tabs on this one.
