Michael Giacchino To Join ‘The Incredibles 2’ Crew | Film News
It has been revealed via twitter by Brad Bird, chosen as the writer for The Incredibles 2, that Michael Giacchino, already composer for 2004 The Incredibles, will join the crew again to compose the score for the sequel, probably trying to replicate the success of the first one.
For his previous work on the 2004 animation’s soundtrack, which was an homage to the 1960s spy films, Giacchino won several awards for best score, including BMI Film & TV Award, Annie Award, Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award, ASCAP Film and Television Music Award and others, and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, a Satellite Award, and Broadcast Film Critics Association Award.
Despite the exciting news, we will have to wait a few years to hear the new scores, since the movie is set to be out only in 2019.
