Miley Cyrus Delivers Emotional Performance Of ‘Twinkle Song’ On SNL | Music News
At the Video Music Awards this year, Miley Cyrus announced the release of her free album entitled Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. On October 3, she performed two songs from Dead Petz on Saturday Night Live including closing track “Twinkle Song (I Had A Dream)”.
Sat at a piano covered in fake hair, fairy lights, and a few photos of animals in frames, Cyrus began to sing. The song is about a friend’s dead cat and it eventually brought the singer to tears. She glanced at the photos but continued the song as her voice cracked. When it was over, she gestured towards the animals and said: “My actual dead pets.” To watch the clip, click here.
