Miley Cyrus Releases New Album ‘Younger Now’ | Music News

The much anticipated release date of Miley Cyrus’s new full-length album Younger Now has finally arrived. Prior to release, Cyrus put out album singles “Malibu”, “Inspired”, and “Younger Now” that signaled Cyrus’s drastic style shift from her last full-length, 2013’s Bangerz as well as her 2015 collaboration project with the Flaming Lips, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.

Writing all of the lyrics and melodies on Younger Now, Cyrus has taken on a more sophisticated and melancholy folk/country style, drawing influence from idol and album-contributor, Dolly Parton. All of the instruments on the album are played by producer Oren Yoel. Cyrus’s transformation was showcased at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards as she gave an emotional performance of “Younger Now” surrounded by older people and younger kids.

Cyrus’s new album has met mixed reviews as she goes through the artistic growth process of drastically changing her image, but be sure to decide for yourself by taking a listen on Apple Music, Itunes, and Spotify.
