‘Minority Report’ TV Series To Star Female Lead | TV News

FOX has now secured the rights for the upcoming television series Minority Report which is based on a film of the same name. THR have reported that Max Borenstein, writer of the script for Godzilla, will be penning the script, while Steven Spielberg, who directed the original Minority Report film, will be directing the television series as well.

Whereas people originally speculated that the series would follow the same plot line as the movie, it has now been revealed that the series will follow the story of one of the pre-cogs who attempts at living a normal life following the discontinuation of the PreCrime unit. The pre-cog still, however, has vivid visions, and the heroine (who will be played by an as yet unannounced female lead), tries to steer them in the right direction. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Spielberg would like to get a big-name actress in for the role of the new female lead. Personally, I think the plot line sounds like it could work well in a television series format, and I am looking forward to seeing the final product.
