Missy Elliot has returned to the Hip Hop scene like she never left. This week we are getting a little hip hop nostalgia as Missy teamed up with rap legends Lil Kim, Eve and Trina for the remix of her latest track, “I’m Better”.
Women still being underrepresented voices in hip hop in the US makes this song all the more appealing. Missy has united our favourites and created a banger if you ask me.
The original version of the song did not chart as well as many would have liked to see, but I have a strong feeling that this remix (which should have been the original in my opinion), will do wonders for Missy and the ladies involved.
This track was the perfect record for each rap-star, as they get to remind us of why they are still icons in hip hop until now. Have a listen below:
