MOBO, yesterday (June 17), was marking eighteen years of celebrating musical talent with UK chart-topper Labrinth, veteran rapper Akala, Jahmene Douglas from X-Factor UK and The Voice’s Jermaine Jackman among others at acclaimed British restaurant Roast, as it launched an exhibition of photographs showcasing performances from all previous MOBO Awards ceremonies. Covering over two decades, the exhibition covered iconic photographs of the likes of Amy Winehouse, Destiny’s Child, Sade, 50 Cent, Emeli Sandé and Tinie Tempah, taken during stage performances and acceptance speeches.
