After the iconic Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister passed away on December 28, fans grouped together in order to get the classic 1980 single “Ace of Spades” to Number One as a tribute to their idol.

As a result of their efforts, the band’s song has re-entered the UK Top 20, peaking at position number 13 in the charts.

While tributes for Lemmy were paid from all over the rock music world, the day after his death, Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee released a statement saying that the band will not continue playing and recording without its frontman.
