Kanye West gave his anticipated speech at the VMA’s, built up after rumours of being given free rein to talk about whatever he wanted. Opening up with an awkward “I am Kanye West“, he went on to talk about the meaning behind his “Famous” video, talking about it’s metaphorical relevancy to his views on fame, and feelings about placing it’s controversial nude models.

He went on to talk about his appreciation for Beyoncé, a heartfelt talk about violence in his hometown of Chicago, and a short touch on why he talks about Steve Jobs so much. He then went on to premier the video for “Fade”, which stars Teyana Taylor, and features some seriously trippy, flash-dance inspired visuals and is currently a Tidal exclusive video.
