Murkage – the musical offering of the Murkage Cartel arts organisation – have uploaded a new version of their track “Can I Live” remixed by Mike Skinner (The Streets, The D.O.T). “Can I Live” features on the Murkage Of Mystics & Misfits album which is available here.
The remix gives the track more of an old school feel but Skinner’s memorable garage influence is also present. The remix replaces the featuring artist Orelsan from the original with some catchy backing vocals and a spoken, The Streets-style bridge. Mike Skinner’s role in music has become increasingly more invisible over the last few years, with his last two releases with The D.O.T. he has taken role of songwriter and producer.
