Neil Young For Supreme Spring/Summer 2015 Collection | Fashion News

69-year old Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young has teamed up with streetwear brand Supreme for the latter’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The appointment of Neil Young as the new face of Supreme will be marked with a T-Shirt featuring a screen print of Young wearing the Supreme Box Logo tee. Supreme have also just uploaded a short intriguing interview with the veteran artist on the ‘Random’ section of their website. During the short film, Young sips tea as he touches upon the various things that have raised his profile and claims none of them were intentional.

He goes on to mentions his new album and the importance he places on the youth of today and their role in the future. Young also recently told Rolling Stone that he was recording the new album with Willie Nelson’s sons and joked about calling it ‘The Monsanto Years’ after the agricultural company that he has been campaigning against for some years. The joke held some truth though, as he has hinted that the album will deal with the issues raised by his campaigning, which is no surprise.

This collaboration between Supreme and Neil Young, is not particularly a new direction for Supreme who have previously worked with Lou Reed and Shane MacGowan. The ‘Neil Young’ T-shirt can be previewed on the Supreme website here and will be available for purchase from February 26 from the streetwear line’s webstore.
