Netflix Delivers New Trailer For ‘First They Killed My Father’ | Film Trailer

A new trailer for the movie titled First They Killed My Father is out now. This film is taken from a biographic book First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers written by the human rights activist Loung Ung who is a woman who survived the Pol Pot regime and in which she relives her personal experience.

Angelina Jolie has chosen to tell this story through Loung Ung eyes, at the age of 5, because in that period the Khmer Rouge came to power. Everything is set in 1975, while this little girl is forced to become a soldier and instead her family are sent to the labor camp.

It’s a dramatic movie and a personal project of the actress. Angelina Jolie could be so attached to this story because one of her sons came from the same place. First They Killed My Father was presented at the Toronto International Film Festival and is already available on Netflix.
