Netflix have released the first pictures of Jason Momoa for their upcoming series Frontier, and the show the actor as a remorseless fur trader you wouldn’t want to mess with. The Game of Thrones and Aquaman actor stars in the original series, which is released on the streaming site later this year. The period drama is set in the 18th Century, and follows the “chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade”.

 

Netflix’s vice president of local originals Erik Barmack commented on the series:

 

“We jumped at the opportunity to bring this action-packed series to our global viewers,” he said “The creative team behind the scenes has a very exciting vision for Jason and the show, and we’re thrilled to be working with Discovery Canada on getting a vast, worldwide audience to enjoy it.”
