We’re genuinely surprised that this hasn’t happened already. Bill Murray and Lost in Translation director Sophia Coppola are joining forces once again to give the world what it really needs – a Bill Murray Christmas special. Netflix is backing the project (which pays homage to variety shows and kitschy musical numbers) and it is set for a release in December next year. The frame narrative focuses on Bill Murray (playing himself), who is worried that none of his Christmas guests will arrive to his party because of a fierce snowstorm. Reported guests include Amy Poehler, Michael Cera, George Clooney, Jason Schwartzman, Miley Cyrus, Maya Rudolph, Chris Rock and Rashida Jones.
