New Female Writer Added For ‘Thor 3’ | Film News

We did not have news on the Thor: Ragnarok since October, when it was decided that Taika Waititi will direct the third episode of the Thor saga, until today. As The Hollywood Reporter discloses, screenwriter Stephany Folsom will work on the script for the film. She will be the newest female addition to the Marvel family, which also has Nicole Perlman, who has work on Guardians of the Galaxy and she has teamed up with Meg LeFauve to write Captain Marvel.

Folsom has previously written the script for 2013’s 1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon, which ended on The Black List, a survey of the best screenplays not yet produced; she has also worked for Disney, writing the script for The Princess of North Sudan. With Marvel giving women more and more space, the comic books field looks a bit less male-oriented than usual, and boy we like it!
