New Politics Perform Acoustic Version of ‘Girl Crush’ | Music News

New Politics

On December 13, Alternative Press uploaded an acoustic version of pop-rock band New Politics‘ song “Girl Crush” for APTV sessions. The premise is: someone finds a girl, who falls in love with another girl, which, in the end, makes the original person fall in love with both of them. Still with me? The music video only recently came out and features lead singer David Boyd with a stereotypically attractive girl who, it turns out, is a blow-up doll.

The acoustic performance, featuring Louis Vecchio drumming on a makeshift wooden stool, makes the song feel more mature and the band’s friendship is apparent throughout. Watch the video below.
