New Tina Fey Comedy To Be Produced By NBC | TV News

Tina Fey is a bit of a golden child in Hollywood at the moment, not only is she a talented actress in both comedic and dramatic roles but she is also a world class writer. For those of you who didn’t know, she wrote the screenplay for the modern classic Mean Girls as well as writing for Saturday Night Live, and her two series 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

It was announced at NBC’s TCA press tour that Fey would be working with her writing partner Robert Carlock on a comedy for the network, based around the relationship between a mother and a daughter. Described as a nosey New Jersey mother who gets an internship at the same cable news network that her daughter works at, the series will also be written by Tracey Winfield, whose recent work includes The Mindy Project.
