New ‘X-Files’ Series To Premiere At New York Comic Con| TV News

Ticket holders for the upcoming New York Comic Con are finding themselves in a very enviable position indeed. On Saturday, October 10, they will be the first US viewers to see the opening episode of Fox’s X-Files revival, titled My Struggle.

 

The sold out event will also feature a Q&A session with show creator Chris Carter and star David Duchovny. With the show’s intention of furthering the complex mythology of the origional, you can be sure there will be a lot of questions to answer. The new series will see Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their iconic roles as the FBI’s paranormal investigators, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

 

The series will also feature appearances from Joel McHale (Community), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Robbie Amell (The Flash), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords), and Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley). William B. Davis is also set to return as the mysterious villain, the Smoking Man. Those without tickets will have to settle for the Fox network premier on January 24, 2016.
