Nike Pay Homage To Japan Skyline With ‘Tokyo Neon’ Capsule | Fashion News

Iconic sports brand Nike have launched a new capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2019, which seems to be available exclusively with Tokyo retailer Atmos. The key pieces of the capsule collection aptly titled ‘Tokyo Neon‘ are the windbreaker, hoodie, t-shirt and the Air Max 98. The entire capsule looks solid but these are the strongest pieces which will surely sell out.

The capsule collection is led by neon colours such as yellow, green, pink and orange, on top of a black base – the neon colours, at least, are a direct homage of the fluorescent neon lights that dominate Tokyo’s skyline, hence the name ‘Tokyo Neon’. Moreover, every item in the collection features Nike’s trademark Swoosh and Air Max imagery, making for a strong staple statement from the sports fashion brand.

According to Atmos, the capsule collection will not be available everywhere. Indeed, the bold capsule is slated to drop exclusively in Japan at select retailers such as Atmos on February 16. The number of pieces are limited. However, the sneakers should be available in the United States. They are expected to hit stateside stockists soon, with some news outlets reporting that they could be made available as early as February 16.
