Noel Gallagher Closes T In The Park 2015 | Music News

Noel Gallagher brought T In The Park to an amazing close on July 12, rounding off this year’s festival in it’s new location of Strathallan Castle. The former guitarist for Oasis opened with “(Stranded On) The Wrong Beach” and managed to pull off the tricky situation of balancing his solo material as well as the infamous, well loved Oasis classics, that the crowd were dying to hear.

Gallagher communicated cheerily to the crowd: “I like what you’ve done with the place“, Gallagher remarked of the new site following “In The Heat of the Moment”, before asking the crowd, “I assume you’re all Oasis fans? I’d like to play for you a song I wrote called ‘Fade Away’” Prior to mid-set highlight “Champagne Supernova”, Gallagher told the crowd that, “sometimes when you write songs, they’re alright, but they’re not tunes. It’s you who make them into extraordinary pieces of music. I want to thank you for making this song into an extraordinary piece of music”.

After taking a brief interval, Gallagher returned for a three-song encore which included the classic “Don’t Look Back in Anger” which caused a mass singalong with Gallagher telling the crowd, “It’s been an absolute honour to play for you tonight. I’ll see you somewhere down the road”.
