On Thursday night (December 10), Noel Gallagher surprised the audience at the Royal Albert Hall, in London, when he performed a double gig, playing during the support slot too.

The crowd that came to watch his band High Flying Birds, was also entertained with a semi-acoustic 40 minute set of Oasis songs performed by Gallagher, during which is was also joined by Oasis guitarist Gem Archer.

When he announced himself, the singer said: “Thanks for getting here early by the way. I am only doing this because we couldn’t find a f*****g support band. I ain’t joking neither. My manager goes, ‘I’ve got a f*****g great idea, you can be the support band and play for four hours’. I get double the rider though so every cloud”.

As a support act, Gallagher played the following songs:

“It’s Good To Be Free”
“D’Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman”
“Listen Up”
“Sad Song'”
“Slide Away”
“Cast No Shadow”
“The Importance Of Being Idle”
