Noomi Rapace Will Not Be Appearing In ‘Alien: Covenant’ Says Ridley Scott | Film News

Ridley Scott has confirmed that Noomi Rapace‘s  Dr. Elizabeth Shaw will not be returning in his upcoming Alien: Covenant film. Dr. Shaw, along with Micheal Fassbender‘s character David, were the last survivors of the Prometheus, so it seemed likely that she would appear in the sequel but Scott, according to The Daily Mail, answered “no” when asked if the actress would feature in the film, stating that they are “still casting the main roles“.

However, he did confirm that Micheal Fassbender will reprise his role as the android David, alongside Katherine Waterston (Steve Jobs) who will play the lead role.

There’s not much out yet on the plot of Alien: Covenant, but it will allegedly tell the story another expedition aboard a ship called the Covenant. When they come across a seemingly idyllic uncharted planet, inhabited only by the synthetic David, they initially believe it to be a paradise but things soon take a darker and more dangerous turn.

Alien: Covenant is expected to premiere in 2017.
