‘Now You See Me 2’: Magic Never Gets Old | Film Review

Now You See Me 2  is an action production that gathered together stars like Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan, Daniel Radcliffe, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.

It is directed by Jon M. Chu, mostly known for G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013) and Step Up 2: The Streets (2008). What I liked about Now You See Me 2 was the fact that it continued the story of the first film. The synopsis reads: “The Four Horsemen resurface and are forcibly recruited by a tech genius to pull off their most impossible heist yet”.

Exactly like the predecessor, the movie’s ending has a lot of explanations as to how our heroes did what they were told to do.This movie has a lot of thrills (the magic scenes are spectacular, especially the one in which Jesse Eisenberg controls the weather). Some questions are yet again left unanswered, but this time it is forgivable.

I found it interesting that it does have you guessing a lot and I thought the characters are likeable and were the right choice for their roles. I liked the following facts: an important part of the action takes part in London and the magic tricks throughout the film are really well thought and spectacular. In my opinion this shows that magic never gets old and that the audience can be hypnotized with it.
