Phil Lord And Chris Miller Will Not Direct ’23 Jump Street’ | Film News

Looking around Hollywood for the most in-demand directors at the moments Phil Lord and Chris Miller would probably be top of most people’s lists. Unfortunately their busy schedule means that they can’t do everything, speaking at the Television Critics Association for their TV series The Last Man On Earth, they said, “we are hard at work on ’23 Jump Street’, which I think we will probably just produce from a time standpoint. We’ve been working really hard. We’ve got a really good first draft of a script in and we’re really excited about it“.

It comes as no surprise, looking at what they have in the pipeline for the next couple of years: A Han Solo Star Wars anthology film, the sequel to the surprise hit The Lego Movie and an animated Spiderman film. Rumours surrounding the third Jump Street adventure have died down for now, however there was once rumours of a Jump Street/Men In Black crossover, though that has yet to be confirmed.

With the pair still acting as executive producers on the film, I don’t think fans should worry about the quality with 23 Jump Streets still being able to bring the laughs like its two predecessors with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill still on board with the franchise.
