Pierce Brosnan Criticizes New Bond Film ‘Spectre’ | Film News
Former 007 Pierce Brosnan has criticized the latest James Bond film Spectre, claiming “the story was kind of weak” and “it kind of went on too long“. Brosnan is no stranger to Bond having played the part in four of the spy classics, and stated “it’s neither Bond nor Bourne. Am I in a Bond movie? Not in a Bond movie?”.
He was, however, very complimentary about his successor Daniel Craig. This is Craig’s fourth Bond film which matches that of Brosnan. The Goldeneye actor stated that “Daniel, in the fourth go-round, has ownership of it. He had a nice looseness to him“. Brosnan’s praise continued calling Craig “a mighty warrior” and stating that “he found a great sense of himself in this one with the one-liners and a nice playfulness there”.
