Prides Debut Album Coming In 2015 | Music News

Prides have already enjoyed a hugely successful 2014 as the band chosen to open the Common Wealth Games back in August to a 40,000 strong crowd, followed by an appearance at the Reading and Leeds festival. Yet 2015 is the year the Scottish trio unveil their debut album, and with catchy songs “Out of the Blue” and “I Should Know You Better” already circling the airwaves, there’s solid ground for more festival worthy material to be featured.

Made up of Stewart Brock, Callum Wiseman and Lewis Gardiner, Prides combine synth with an edgier vocal to create a depth which allows them to break away from pure-pop territory. Comparisons to Bastille and CHVRCHES probably give you an idea of just how easily their songs nestle in your head, ready to be the narrative playlist of the day. They’ve dropped tentative hints that the album could be released before the Summer and listening to their tracks so far, it seems this is the perfect season to reflect the excitable energy which bursts through their music.
