Raf Simons Unveils Spring 2018 Collection In Manhattan | Fashion News
Last night, Belgian designer Raf Simons showcased his Spring collection to high-end designers, celebrities, and models, as well as the copious amount of journalists. The spectacle was held behind a Chinatown shopping mall, at the base of the Manhattan bridge.
The theme throughout the collection seemed to be rainy weather, with each model walking with an umbrella and most in wellies. Some umbrellas even had light-up handles, matching the neon signs and bold-coloured lanterns hanging above.
There were many oversized pieces involved too: the men were in oversized, shiny coats and loosely-fitted trousers, which tucked into stylish rubber wellies; whereas the women were seen wearing baggy coats paired with maxi skirts and wellies.
Some of his designs even introduced the sideways blazer: a creation that wraps around the body.
