Raime Announces Sophomore Album ‘Tooth’ | Music News
Raime, the duo of Joe Andrews and Tom Halstead, have been busy in the studio, with the results said to be coming under the album title of Tooth. This sophomore effort arrives on Friday, June 10. They will also play a full live set at London venue, Birthdays, on Tuesday, June 14.
The London-based musicians are credited helping to stimulate wider, renewed interest in late Seventies and early Eighties acts like Ike Yard, Rema-Rema and German Shepherds.
Back in 2012 saw the release of the duo’s debut album, Quarter Turns Over A Living Line. This saw them moving away from the sample-based strategies that characterised their early work, instead increasingly looking towards live instrumentation.
