Rebecca Ferguson To Return For ‘Mission: Impossible VI’ | Film News
Hot on the heels of Christopher McQuarrie confirming he’ll write and direct Mission: Impossible VI, another alumus of Rogue Nation is now announced to return. Rebecca Ferguson, who made her explosive debut in the spy franchise in this summer’s fifth installment, is set to return as the elsuive Ilsa Faust alongside Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt.
Ferguson’s career has exploded since the debut of Rogue Nation, having just completed filming Tate Taylor‘s adaptation of the hit novel The Girl on the Train with Emily Blunt and about to begin production on Tomas Alfredson‘s The Snowman with Michael Fassbender. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation arrived in cinemas this past July and made $682 million worldwide; it currently stands as the seventh highest grossing film of the year. No release date has been set for Mission: Impossible VI as of yet, but star and producer Cruise has suggested that filming could commence as early as August next year.
