From the director of The Proposal and Step Up, Anne Fletcher, comes the trailer for new comedy Hot Pursuit, starring Reese Witherspoon and Sophia Vergara. The two beauties star in what looks like a straight boys-dream flick. You’ve got two of the most gorgeous women in film and TV, car chases, underwear shot and obligatory lesbian jokes – what more could they want, right?
While this trailer isn’t going to blow you away, it does actually look like quite a lot of fun, it’s pretty much what you’d expect from a Fletcher movie, as we see Witherspoon and Vergara make their way through Texas as a cop and prisoner, causing havoc as they go. Witherspoon and Vergara seem to work well together and I think it’s already a good sign when the actresses look like they’re having fun together. Witherspoon is an underestimated comedic actress, with roles like Legally Blond giving her a strong fan following and Vergara is hilarious in her TV role in Modern Family. Hot Pursuit hits theatres on May 8, 2015.
