Robin Wright On ‘House Of Cards’: I Had To Fight To Be Paid As Much As Kevin Spacey | TV News
And who said that sexism in TV is dead. Robin Wright has described how she had to fight to be paid equally as her co-star Kevin Spacey on the hit Netflix drama House of Cards. She told an audience at the Rockerfeller Centre that she threatened studio bosses to go public with the fact, unless they agreed to pay her equally.
She commented: “It was the perfect paradigm. There are very few films or TV shows where the male, the patriarch, and the matriarch are equal. And they are in ‘House of Cards’ […] I was like: ‘I want to be paid the same as Kevin’”.
