Ronnie Corbett, TV Legend, Dies today at the age of 85

In a year where high profile deaths are too many to count. Another legend has joined the pantheon. Ronnie Corbett has sadly passed away at the age of 85, announced by his publisher.

In a career that spanned over 40 years, including appearances in spoof movies like Casino Royale and of course he was half of The Two Ronnies which ran for 16 years, regularly drawing in 18 million viewers per episode.

He has made many combacks in recent times. Most fondly when he fell over dramatically in the Peter Kay Comic Relief single ‘Is This The Way To Amarillo’. The sketch was kept in the final video and brought happiness to many.

In his early life he was the smallest ever piolet for the RAF and even did Cabaret which kick started his theatrical and vibrant career. It is a sad day for all that he has passed away but the huge catalogue of work that he has left behind will keep people laughing for decades to come.
