Rupert Grint Believes Ron And Hermione Would Have Divorced | Film News

Harry Ron Hermione

Sorry Harry Potter fans, but Rupert Grint doesn’t believe Ron and Hermione’s relationship would have gone the distance. Grint, who played Ron Weasley in all of the installments, believes that their relationship would have ended in divorce and that Ron would be living the bachelor’s life in London.

Speaking to The Huffington Post alongside Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Grint had this to say on his prospective marriage: “I would expect Ron has probably divorced Hermione already. I don’t think that relationship would have done very well.” That’s sweet, Rupert, but if anything Hermione would have divorced Ron. When asked about where Ron would be now, Grint claimed: “He’s living on his own, in a little one-bedroom apartment. He hasn’t got a job.” Sounds like life has been very harsh to Ron.

The news is likely not going to be welcomed by fans of the wizarding franchise, who have been living with the knowledge that Ron and Hermione are happily married with two children, Rose and Hugo, as dictated by J.K. Rowling (praise be unto her) in her 2007 novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Luckily, fans will be able to catch up on the true history of our heroes in the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is set 19 years after the events of the novels.
