Russell Tovey Causes Audience To Faint In Broadway Play ‘A View From The Bridges’ | Arts
This is dream publicity that money just can’t buy: Him And Her’s Russell Tovey takes off his shirt to reveal a newly buffed-up torso in his Broadway play A View From The Bridge and a man in the audience literally faints! Davin Cutchall was rushed to a nearby hospital with a suspected heart attack, but it turns out that he just got a little hot under the collar at the sight of Tovey’s muscular physique.
The show must go on though, and it did so, after a 15-minute break whilst Cutchall was attended to. Now Cutchall has reached out to Tovey on Twitter to apologise, but to no avail. Firstly, he feels that the situation is getting out of control, adding that he’s “mortified”, then he sees the funny side and asks if Tovey needs a date for the Tony Awards, joking that he promises not to faint. After no response from Tovey, Cutchall posted a final tweet ending #timetomoveon.
