Sam Smith – Writing’s On The Wall | Music Video
Sam Smith‘s “Writing’s On The Wall” was well on its way to becoming not just number one, but the first ever Bond theme to reach number one. On the 2nd of October, the position was achieved, sending Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” to number two. Now, the music video to accompany the hugely successful single has been released.
As Smith sings of protecting a lover and risking it all, shots from Spectre show Daniel Craig as James Bond doing what he does best. Smith gets plenty of screen-time too; he’s dressed to kill and wears a serious expression that sets the mood from beginning to end. The vocals are so powerful, so passionate, that images of Smith will surely play on viewers’ minds during the movie. Spectre will be released on October 26 in the UK, but the music video may satisfy the craving until then. The video was directed by Luke Monaghan and can be viewed below.
