Sam Taylor-Wood To Direct New Netflix Series | TV News

British director Sam Taylor-Wood, most famous for her work on the first instalment of the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, and the 2008 John Lennon biopic, Nowhere Boy, where she also met her now husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson, has signed up to direct an upcoming Netflix series.

Taylor-Wood, has signed on to direct and executive produce the first two episodes of the series, entitled Gypsy, created by Lisa Rudin. According to reports from Deadline, the upcoming Netflix series is set to follow a therapist, who begins to develop intimate relationships with people from her patients lives.

As a result of this, Taylor-Wood has had to drop out of Chappaquiddick, a project about senator Ted Kennedy, who failed to report the car accident that killed Mary Jo Kopechne until 9 hours later. Gypsy is due to start shooting this summer.
